About O.L Obonna

I write stories that linger in the heart long after the final page, has been read. Writing has always been my greatest joy, there is nothing I love more than sitting down to bring a new story or idea to life. I love writing stories that explores love in all its forms: the kind that makes your heart race, the kind that heals, and the kind that stays with you long after the last page is turned.

My characters are often imperfect, passionate, and deeply human, because I believe true love lives, in the beautifully messy spaces between us. Whether it is the quiet tenderness of a stolen glance or the fierce pull of destiny, I am endlessly fascinated by the emotions that connect people.

Through my writing, I hope to remind readers that love is always worth believing in, no matter how complicated or unpredictable it may seem. When I am not lost in a fictional world, you will usually find me with a good book, a cup of tea, and a heart full of new stories waiting to be told.

From the very first page, When Love Lasts sweeps you into a whirlwind of emotions.

At its heart, this novel explores second chances and the healing power of love. I found myself rooting for Leilani and Folarin, hoping they’d find their way back to each other. If you love deeply emotional romances filled with fate and redemption, this book is a must-read!

A story of fate, love, forgiveness and second chances

Enjoyed reading Yahimba. Book 1 of the Lagos Elite Club is a story of loss, betrayal, fate and second chances. Yahimba had to lose everything in order to have, unknown to her, the fuller, more fulfilling life that love and fate had in store for her. This book will keep you captivated from start to finish. Now looking forward to reading book 2 of this trilogy.

Loved this story!

I really enjoyed reading the story of Mma and Fuad. They initially got together with no intention of it being more than one night. But fate has other ideas. They hastily wed and that is where the real fun begins. Walls must come down in order for there to be real love. I would encourage anyone to read this book and understand this couple’s journey to love.

What a ride!

Having finished Yahimba, I was eagerly anticipating the next book in the trilogy, Zala and after reading it, wow, what a ride! There were surprises left and right, I literally stood up from my seat at one point, and my siblings looked at me like I’d lost my mind. I would have gone into more details but I’m not a fan of spoilers. However, as for her ex-husband, Negasi… I sincerely hope thunder pays him a personal visit. I also appreciated how parts of Yahimba’s storyline were woven into Zala. It was spot on.
